Metrichor provides a cloud-based platform for real time analysis of data from nanopore devices. Applications available through Metrichor will expand with the ultimate goal of enabling the analysis of any living thing, by any user, in any environment.

Job Description

The Role….

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Sales professional, to join Oxford Nanopore as Key Account Manager - Japan

The Key Account Manager will form a global team of experienced sales / business development professionals who will actively drive growth and awareness of Oxford Nanopore Technologies. They will be responsible, along with the Business and Technical Applications Manager for the region, for implementing a strategic business plan and delivering to agreed commercial targets within the Territory. This role will focus on driving sales growth through established Dealer networks and new customers in Japan.

The Details…..

The role will require basic biology knowledge enabling to understand the Next Generation Sequencing/ genomics research market within the Territory and a proven ability to develop and drive commercial growth via direct or indirect sales channels within a related market. This position will be supported by the Customer Service, Technical Support and Technical Applications teams.  To achieve these goals, you will be required to undertake at least 50% travel.

What We Are Looking For…..

The Key Account Manager will have excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating strong organisational and problem-solving capability.

They will be self-motivated, with the communication skills to effectively engage with the customer and across multi-disciplinary teams within the Company.

The ideal candidate will have a background in biology enabling to understand the Life Sciences and Genomics market and an understanding of current DNA sequencing technologies and their applications in order to effectively support new and existing customers.
