The GridION system, currently in development, is a scalable real-time analysis system designed to analyse single molecules such as DNA, RNA and proteins.

Metrichor provides a cloud-based platform for real time analysis of data from nanopore devices. Applications available through Metrichor will expand with the ultimate goal of enabling the analysis of any living thing, by any user, in any environment.

Job Description

The Role….

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Sales professional, to join Oxford Nanopore as Key Account Manager-China.

The Key Account Manager-China will join a global team of experienced sales and market development professionals to deliver on commercial targets for Oxford Nanopore Technologies products within the territory. To achieve these goals, you will be required to undertake at least 50% travel and be based in China.

The Details…..

The role will require a proven ability to drive sales from the front line within China. This position will be supported by the local Customer Service, Technical Support and Technical Applications teams. This role will report directly to the Business Manager- China.

Responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Identification of new opportunities within Territory
  • Management of key customer relationships across broad fields of research interest 
  • Understanding of funding cycles and decision-making process in China
  • Delivering to the agreed commercial targets for MinION, GridION and PromethION systems
  • Adhere to best practices for tracking, recording and documenting commercial intelligence

What We Are Looking For…..

The Key Account Manager-China will have excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating strong organisational and problem-solving capability.

They will be self-motivated, with the communication skills to effectively engage with customers and internal stakeholders across multi-disciplinary and international teams.

The ideal candidate will have a background in genetics and genomics with knowledge of the Life Sciences and Genomics market within China and an understanding of current DNA sequencing technologies and their applications.
